As men, we all know it’s easier to bottle everything up and never talk about how we’re actually feeling. However, it’s often a lot healthier and better for our wellbeing to speak up and talk about whatever is going on.

With that in mind, Mensoar is there to assist you on this journey towards gaining confidence when talking about your mental health. We’re dedicated to supporting men and, through working together, creating a positive mental health environment for you, your friends and your family to thrive.

WEBINARS

Our Webinars are a great place to start if you’re new to learning about mental health. The Webinars will take place every other month over Zoom and will focus on different topics such as father’s mental health, workplace mental health and how events in your life can impact your overall well being.

We’ve got some amazing guest speakers lined up – including footballers and authors, as well as the opportunity to listen to our Clinical Psychologist who will explain why looking after our mental health is so important. Our Webinar sessions are open to everyone, so bring your friends and family along too.

And don’t worry if you’ve never attended anything like this online before, we’re there to guide you through the process and help you to join the sessions successfully.

Mensoar offers a range of training courses to help you to learn more about your mental health. The topics covered are specific to the needs of different individuals, so you should find something that’s relevant to you. Designed to be interactive and help you to check your understanding as you go along, you can complete the courses at times convenient to you and dip in and out of the modules whenever you want to.

Our wellbeing hub allows you to engage with articles and helpful mental health tips and advice. It’s also the place to keep on track of your Webinar and Peer Support Group sessions.

MAN TALK

Man Talk is a really good way to gain confidence talking about mental health. Many men have been surprised by how much they have helped them – even those who were reluctant to attend or didn’t think they’d find them useful.

We are offering Man Talk sessions throughout Leicestershire to enable you to talk to other men with similar experiences to yours. Held monthly, the groups will be run by an experienced facilitator who will come along with a topic for everyone to discuss. There will also be opportunities to talk about issues impacting you, if you feel comfortable talking. Or you can just listen to the other men in the group to hear about their experiences.

The sessions will initially be run online, but you will join a group of men from your local area (Blaby, Charnwood, Harborough, Hinckley & Bosworth, Melton, Oadby & Wigston, North-West Leicestershire and Rutland), so that you can meet up in the future, as you get to know each other.

And don’t worry if you’ve never attended anything like this online before, we’re there to guide you through the process and help you to join the sessions successfully.
